Almost all the system for the country to work has stopped and this is producing fear, stress and anxiety in people for they continue to worry and think endlessly of their well-being, how can they survive amidst this crisis and what will happen in the future.
Anxiety is a feeling of worry about a certain event and this is now what is happening not only to our country but also to the whole world. When people heard about the rising of the pandemic they can’t help but feel restless and nervous. It is difficult to work if someone is anxious and suffering from mental pressure.
Several noted reasons that cause stress during lockdown are risk of infection, fear of becoming sick or of losing loved ones, as well as the prospect of financial hardship, lack of food and medical supplies to sustain their everyday needs, interrupted system and schedule of jobs and education, most especially the anticipation of the day when the country will be announced free of the virus. Serious matters that are mentioned in are just some of what is currently being experienced in this pandemic.
The lockdown brought by this crisis will most likely result in a long-term damage to people, even for decades, that may undoubtedly cause trauma. Mostly adults, especially those who have families to support, recognize persistent worry and physical sensations such as muscle tension and throat tightness as manifestations of anxiety. But they might not understand that the ways of anxiety might fuel other problems. Citizens often do not realize that their difficulties with focus, memory, sleep and relationship can all be related to anxiety. As of now we should not go outside because of this COVID-19 a lot of people die we need to stay at home and pray.
To avoid being stress and to protect our mental health we must be tough , connect to our families and friends through social media this is the perfect time to bond with them. The lockdown and the global pandemic suddenly change our routines make ourselves busy by doing house hold chores and decluttering things. Be productive like giving donations and support to our barangays and frontliners. Most importantly is to pray so that God will guide his people to surpass this pandemic.
