At this time of the global pandemic, we are given time to reflect about the choices we’ve made. We become more aware of what is happening around us but I think there’s still a lot to learn.

I want to talk about those people who are having a hard time mentally.

I know that there are things that people expect us to do, you will feel guilty for not doing it and that’s okay. It’s okay not to be productive, it’s okay to give yourself time, we are facing a really tough time, we are forced to face our own demons, thus we’re triggered on a daily basis. And I know, I understand. I feel the same way. I cried almost every night ever since the lockdown began. My eyes hurt, my body betrayed me. I feel like a failure for not doing what I should be doing. And it is okay, It’s not our fault. Not everyone will understand, that’s frustrating, I know. Don’t forget to forgive and try your best not to be so hard on yourself. Try to reach out to people, you don’t have to do this on your own. You don’t have to be alone. You are not alone. It’s going to be a tough battle for us but we have to hang on.

To their family, please be there for them, for us. Also, be careful with your words, even jokes, even the words that are seemingly innocent because words hurt us, a lot. Be patient with us. We are trying our best. Help us get through this because we can’t do this on our own.
