With the dropped remarks of Senator Koko Pimentel on the 25th of March, 2020. The senator was bombarded by the citizens through the use of social media expressing their negative reactions and anger to his late admittance of being positive with the virus.
From sharing the senator’s tagline in his campaign and edited videos making fun of the term, “use your Kokote”. As it was announced and broadcasted on television of how he went out even after showing symptoms, the utmost highlighted activities that received the most criticism was on the 24th of March where he travelled to Makati Medical Center due to the scheduled birth via caesarian section of his wife.
Despite of acknowledging the visible symptoms, the senator proclaims on how there would be no one to aid his wife if he was not present on the scheduled operation. In addition, S&R Bonifacio Global City released a statement of how the employees and members have taken measure to self- quarantine with disinfection steps of the vicinity when it was confirmed on the CCTV footage of S&R BGC showcasing the senator checking out on the 16th of March, 2020.
